There are many out there read the "Whats new in Copilot". So do I every month. It's quite interesting to see how it develop under it ways. I also read the M365 Roadmap on a weekly bases to get the understanding on what's coming in Teams and M365Copilot.
One of the cool part is that Microsoft now Expanded the availability of Copilot for M365.
Copilot for Microsoft 365 can now be purchased as an add-on to the following plans:
- Microsoft 365 Apps for business and enterprise
- Microsoft Teams Essentials, Enterprise, and EEA
- Exchange Kiosk, Plan 1, and Plan 2
- SharePoint Plan 1 and Plan 2
- OneDrive for Business Plan 1 and Plan 2
- Microsoft Planner Plan 1 (formerly Project Plan 1)
- Microsoft Project Plan 3 and Plan 5
- Project Online Essentials
- Visio Plan 1 and Plan 2
- Microsoft ClipChamp
Another cool feature that is out there is Power-BI report that is based a Power-BI template for the Copilot. I'm looking forward to see what this can deliver. As Microsoft say it will deliver deeper look into adoptions and usage of M365Copilot. This is from my perspective and view to see how you worker use M365Copilot. If there are users who got it and don't use it, well then check out why. Maybe the user adoption has failed.
How did you run user adoption for M365Copilot. How was the project run. There can be several reasons why your employees does not use M365Copilot when you turned it on. Does it not deliver as expected. Are the missing feature out there, then as I mentions check the M365 Roadmap. Dig into this stuff. Speak and interview your employees, create survey to get clearer view.
Extend Copilot in Teams meeting
Not a blogpost without something about Teams. From the blog What's new in Copilot June 2024. You can read about this:
Copilot extensions are a way to extend the capabilities of Copilot for Microsoft 365, enabling it to interact with and process data from various sources, enhancing user productivity and offering a more personalized experience. Now, you can extend the power and knowledge of Copilot in Teams meetings for your sales organization by enabling a plugin to connect to Copilot for Sales. With this plugin, Copilot can process conversations in real time and return insights to sellers, such as an overview of an account opportunity, based on your organization’s Copilot for Sales data. Copilot can also suggest dynamic prompts for querying account information when sellers mention keywords and names during a discussion. You can enable the plugin with just a few clicks, and sellers can turn it on from the Copilot plugin menu. Copilot’s ability to intelligently surface data and insights from your organization’s Copilot for Sales knowledge base during customer meetings can transform sellers’ efficiency and drive better meeting outcomes.
On my personal tenant, I have tried to Sales plugin in Outlook and together with Copilot it gives you a lot of power and advantages.
One person I worked with said once "Companies that do not start to use AI in any way can go out and buy a sign and hang it on the door that say CLOSED". In many ways I think this is correct.
Summary
I use Copilot in my daily work, to find stuff and help me create better mail as coaching. When I got back from vacation one of the first thing I did was to ask Copilot about what has happen the last 3 weeks, and it summarized my emails from the last 3 weeks. Then I went into different mails that felt was important to handle.
Well this is it for this time and I'll be back soon.
