First of all, thanks to Kim Dahl at Logitech Norway for this tip.
This tip has helped some of my customers using Logitech Rally and screens that does not fall into sleep.
Allowing the Rally Bar's to enter PowerSavings and wake up if walking into the room (Like the old days)
Introducing the "Working hours" allows customers to assign profiles to devices, making sure they go into power savings/idle during non-working hours.
This is a good feature for Teams Panels like our Schedulers, but this also will keep our Rally Bars "Always-On" during the whole day, even when not in use which is not so good.
Allowing the Rally Bar's to enter PowerSavings and wake up if walking into the room (Like the old days)
As a workaround you can use working hour to get back to the old way where the Rally Bars go into power savings when the room is not being used, and waking it up again if entering the room being triggered by the AI ViewFinder or Tap.
Step-by-step guide
Create
a Configuration Profile in Teams Admin Center
1. Log on
to Teams Admin Center (TAC)
Do not set the correct Working hours i.e. 9am - 5pm, but set it to 9am - 10am
This will make sure the device will wake up at 9am and enter power savings
after 10am. In addition it will wake up every time someone enters the room like
we used to have in the old days.
As long as there are people in the room or a meeting is ongoing, it will stay
awake. And if they leave the room, the device will go into power savings after
10 minutes.
4. Assign
the Profile to the device(s) and test it out
